Hexidecimal Chart

From Color Sorting

Using a hexidecimal system there are 16777216 colors to name. So, instead of listing all 16777216 hexidecimal codes in alpha-numeric order, we will list hexidecimal codes in priority order so that those codes that need names the most will be earliest in the list. In fact, if you see "*Redundant" in the name field of any color, it means that hexidecimal code produces a color too visually indistinguishable from another hexidecimal code that is of greater priority. Therefore, colors marked "*Redundant" do not need names at all. These redundant colors will mostly be dark colors and shades of green, especially blue-green, as the hexidecimal codes tend to produce less distinction in colors in the greens and blue-greens.

To avoid accidentally using a hexidecimal code that someone else has already named, please add an article to the Talk:Hexidecimal Chart so we can keep this chart as up to date as possible.
